It is clear that science-fiction movies today own
many of the ideas and styles of the style to Sir Ridley Scott. We should opt
for key learning from the director that we are interested in his film and try
to understand of his perspective of thinking as much as possible. From what I read and what I discover from his
films, Scott like to impress people with his striking visual style,
incorporating a detailed approach to production design and innovative,
atmospheric lightning. Besides that, he not only to storyboard his film
intensively, but also makes use of sound and music to build the tension of the
plot. Take as an example; most of the scenes from the Prometheus are awesomely
impressive that you can observe the style of the director. His style and approach of filming could be
influenced by German Expressionism in which using the elements of mise-en-scene
(set design, lightning, preps, costuming) to suggest traits of character or
enhance meaning.
