“Opens at Midnight, Closes at Dawn.”
The last best book I actually enjoyed reading was the The
Night Circus. There is a lot of imagination and inspiration you can discover in
this book. One of the best aspects of this story is that it combines magical
elements with circus things, creating a very engaging yet mysterious plot.
Interestingly, there are two stories with different timeline, when you further
reading the novel, both will gradually merge together as they sharing the same
characters and events. It is very enjoyable, if you manage flip back pages to
keep track of the timeline and location of the story. By the end of the book
and the competition is end, circus operated by new owner and his members. If
you like The Tear of Elephant or The Sorcerer's Apprentice kind of story, you
might actually find yourself enjoying it.
One thing is for sure: The Night Circus will be turning into
a real film, and I can’t wait of that. Unique characters such as Marco (the magician), Celia (the
illusionist), Isobel(the oracle), Tsukiko (the
acrobat ), Poppet,
Widget and Bailey are standout circus members that will let you want to get
know more of them. I always imagine how they would look like, their style and
costumes if in the movie version.
